Pets at Animal Care Services Get Early Thanksgiving Treat

January 15th, 2014
CORPUS CHRISTI (Kiii News) –The pets over at Animal Care Services received an early Thanksgiving feast on Wednesday. It was the second annual Feast for Furry Friends.Frenchie’s Kitchen served up a special meal for the animals in the shelter — an all-natural, cooked meal especially made for the dozens of cats and dogs at Animal Care Services.

The meal had turkey, rice, broccoli, green beans, peas and all the Thanksgiving fixings.

“We use nothing synthetic. Nothing processed in our meals. Everything comes from whole food sources,” Frenchie’s Kitchen Founder Sara Kuris-Morgan said. “So the carrots give you your Vitamin A, your green beans give you your Vitamin C, we have kelp that gives you the minerals; so everything is coming from a whole food source.”

Also, officials with Animal Care Services said the heater to keep the dogs and cats warm has broken down and they are in dire need of a new heater. If you would like to help out, you can call Animal Care Services or stop by their facility at 2626 Holly Road.
